For the last few years, I have wanted to somehow document the journey I have taken (still in progress) with my family history research.  I love to learn about the past whether it be my own or someone else’s.

I bought a journal to write down my research history but just never picked it up other than to move it out of my way.  Plus, as a genealogist, I have enough things laying around.  I was told I should maybe create a family book. I just couldn’t see spending money on a book for something that is constantly changing, whether it’s due to additions of dates, people or places.  Not to mention, as any genealogist knows, you will find where you made a mistake somewhere along the way and realize you have to go back and redo that portion. Alas, here we are today,  I decided it would be better to document using an online blog.

I hope that by riding along with me on my journey, you too may be able to learn from how I was able to break the brick walls or jumped the hurdles. I would also love to learn from you!  Drop me an email or register to participate in the forums in the community area.

Please enjoy as you read and experience my past and continuous journey through my family research!
